35,975 notes"defenestrate" is one of my favorite words in the english language because it's just so damn specific. like there's only one situation you'll ever be able to use it in but you might as well be prepared just in case.
So, my favorite historical event name is The Second Defenestrations of Prague, because it not only tells you exactly what bullshit they were up to, it tells you that this was not the first time they'd done it.
And I own a computer game which includes a spell, called "Power Word: Defenestrate". This spell yeets the target through a convenient window. If no convenient window is available, the spell summons a window, yeets the target through the window, and then drops the target. This is possibly the best magic spell ever created.
